Keynote Speaker
America's First Black Female Combat Pilot
What does it take to break barriers, lead boldly, and inspire transformation in others? For Vernice "FlyGirl" Armour, the answer has always been action.
A trailblazer in every sense of the word, Vernice made history as America's first Black female combat pilot, completing two deployments to Iraq with the Marines before transitioning her hard-won leadership principles into the business world. She also served as a diversity liaison officer at the Pentagon for Headquarters Marine Corps, bringing the same mission-driven focus to institutional change.
In 2007, she founded VAI Consulting & Training, LLC and developed her signature "Zero to Breakthrough™" Success Model, a battle-tested framework for making bold decisions and achieving transformative outcomes. Today, she shares that methodology at conferences and organizations worldwide, helping leaders move from hesitation to action. She is also recognized as a Gutsy Confidence Mentor for high-ranking Women in Tech executives.
Her story has been featured on CNN, MSNBC, The View, FOX News, and Oprah Winfrey, and her book, Zero to Breakthrough: The 7-Step, Battle-Tested Method for Accomplishing Goals that Matter, offers a proven guide to achieving what matters most.
